Use this for quick checks when a diameter is in inches but the cut list is in millimetres, or when drawings mix feet, inches and metric lengths.
Useful reminders
1 inch = 25.4 mm. 1 foot = 304.8 mm. 1 metre = 1000 mm.
When typing into CutSimply, explicit units such as 6ft 2in, 1 1/2in or 1250mm can be used in many length boxes.
Mixed-unit jobs
Use section units for diameter, width, height and wall thickness. Use length units for stock lengths, offcuts, trim, kerf and finished cut lengths.
Report units only control how results are displayed. Calculations still run internally in millimetres.
